So I've dispensed my knitting knowledge at work...I taught two people on Friday, just the basics for now. Casting on and the knit stitch. Both declared they were addicted before the end of the day, although one drove herself nuts over the weekend because she decided she wanted to start over and then completely forgot how to cast on and spent the rest of the weekend trying to use internet videos to reteach herself but to no avail.
Now that school is wrapping up, I've made some progress on both sweaters. I also finished one of the Herringbone mittens that S and I have been working (well hers are legwarmers now but whatever). I wish the body of the mitten were longer....but I'm not planning on redoing it by any means.
I've almost used two full skeins on M's sweater and I'm on the third skein on my won sweater. I'm working down the body on mine, the next step will be the ribbing and cables around the bottom band of the sweater. Surprisingly my stitch count is what it should be! Everytime I count just to make sure I'm still on task, I feel like I have to hold my breath and then I realized that I haven't majorly screwed up and so far so good. I would love to have this ready for going home for Christmas but that might be a lofty expectation....
