Ok, I hate pink. Hate it. But somehow I've become slightly obsessed with wearing it, but only a certain kind of pink. Not a pastel pink, God no. A bright fuschia, that girl's got spunk, pink. Like this:
I'm making the Hourglass Sweater from Last Minute Knitted Gifts. Ok now I really can't believe I"m doing this...but I'm actually on my second sweater, same pattern, same color. Why you ask? I want it to fit better. The pattern itself was easy and I had used only half the yarn I thought I would...as usual the arms are a bit shorter than I wanted, ditto for the torso....which you would think I would know by now since this is always my complaint. But no....the thing is you really can't try this stuff on while you're making it. So here is the semi finished result of the first one...I enjoy how you make a nice seam for all the borders by sewing it back onto itself. You basically k5, p1, continue to knit. At the end, you fold down to the purl row and stitch some stitches on the inside of the sweater to the live stitches. Nice touch, pain in the butt to do. Quite time consuming IMO.
